| Welcome to EPCOT! As Walt Disney's vision of an "Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow," EPCOT continually evolves as a venue to exploring technological and international frontiers. EPCOT is split into two worlds: Future World and World Showcase. Attractions and restaurants capture the excitement of innovation and the exotic world in which we live. Since there are two worlds in EPCOT, you begin in Future World - which has East and West sides. You can continue into World Showcase from Future World. Mexico and Canada serve as border nations to World Showcase with America in the middle. There is a back entrance to EPCOT. If you are staying at any EPCOT area hotel, you will enter EPCOT through the International Gateway. Instead of going in near Spaceship Earth, you arrive between France and the United Kingdom. Below is a listing of lands and highlighted attractions. Future World East - Spaceship Earth, Universe of Energy, Mission: SPACE. Test Track, Innoventions East Future World West - Journey into Imagination, The Seas, The Land, Innoventions West World Showcase - 11 nations represented in a semi circle around World Showcase Lagoon. Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, America, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom, Canada. FUTURE WORLD EAST Spaceship Earth - Refurbishment is complete and as of this time, I haven't been on the new and improved attraction. The post ride area is finished with some interesting interactive games. Try your hand at a virtual surgery or follow a race track. Universe of Energy - Be warned: this is a long attraction. There are several stages with no opportunities for breaks. Join Ellen Degeneres and Bill Nye the Science guy on a humorous journey to learn about energy. Your journey takes you through a prehistoric land of dinosaurs, a Jeopardy dream sequence and an interesting discussion of energy sources for now and our future. Mission: SPACE - This attraction is NOT for the faint of heart! Lines can fill quickly. What would it be like to be on the crew of a space craft? Disney gives you a chance to feel like you're really there! There are TWO versions of the ride. The technology in use is a centrifuge. You can choose a non-spinning version or the full experience. Both tell the same story of take off and landing. Mission: SPACE is a fun thrill ride. Fast Passes are available for this attraction. Test Track - Another wild ride on the east side is Test Track. GM sponsors this pavilion and demonstrates how vehicles are tested for safety. Climb in a 6 passenger car and test road surfaces, curves, hills and "environmental" factors before heading outside for a fast ride on a banked track! Lines get long quickly! There are fast pass and single rider lines available for this attraction. DON'T MISS ATTRACTIONS: Spaceship Earth, Mission: Space, Test Track, Soarin', Turtle Talk with Crush, Gran Fiesta Tour, Maelstrom
